โ€‹โ€‹

๐Ÿก SECTION 1: STAYS, DEPARTURES & BUSHVELD LIVING

1.1 Check-In & Getting Ready for You
To ensure every guest arrives to a pristine space, our units are strictly serviced for confirmed arrivals on your stated check-in date. If you need to extend or face unexpected delays, please chat with us! Timeous departures help our cleaning teams keep everything running beautifully on schedule.

1.2 Checking Out & Timing โฐ

  • Check-Out Time: Strictly 10:00 AM.

  • Late Checkout Care: To help us cover staff scheduling changes, a fee of R100.00 per hour (or part thereof) applies if the unit is not vacated by 10:00 AM. This will be deducted from your refundable breakage deposit.

  • Leaving Your Space: We kindly ask that you leave the unit neat and tidy when you head out. A standard R200.00 cleaning fee will be deducted from your deposit if the space requires extra intensive cleaning.

1.3 Booking Changes & Cancellations ๐Ÿ“…
We understand that plans can change! Our moderate cancellation policy handles deposit refunds based on the following timelines:

  • More than 1 month before check-in: 100% deposit refund.

  • More than 1 week before check-in: 50% deposit refund.

  • Less than 1 week before check-in: 0% deposit refund.

If, for any reason, the owners waive the cancellation policy, they reserve the right to charge an administration fee on any refunds.

1.4 Embracing the Bushveld Grid (Load Shedding) ๐Ÿ’ก

  • Jakkelsroep operates within the national electricity grid schedule. When load shedding occurs, we invite you to unplug, relax, and truly enjoy the unique quiet of nature.

  • Emergency Lighting: Each room features a backup light. Please keep this unit plugged into the wall socket at all times so it stays fully charged and ready to light your way.

1.5 Property Love & Maintenance ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ
To keep Jakkelsroep looking its best, general maintenance may occasionally take place during your stay. Noise levels might fluctuate slightly, and we sincerely thank you in advance for your kind understanding!

  • Please remind little ones not to jump on indoor lounges or draw on walls, tables, and doors. Children under 12 should enjoy these spaces with an adult nearby.โ€‹

๐ŸŽฑ SECTION 3: RECREATION ROOM FUN & CARE

To keep our premium games in championship condition, we have a few simple guidelines for our games areas.

3.1 Pool Table Care ๐ŸŽฑ

  • Adult Supervision: The pool table is reserved for adult play and professional sport practice. We kindly ask that children remain under close adult supervision in this area.

  • No Food or Drinks: Please keep all snacks, drinks, and cigarettes completely clear of the table rails and felt surface to avoid permanent stains.

  • Respect the Frame: Please do not sit on the table or lean heavily on the cushions, as this can unlevel the delicate slate underneath.

  • The Golden Rules: Keep at least one foot flat on the floor for every shot. Apply cue chalk away from the table, and avoid wearing heavy jewelry or metal zippers that could snag the cloth. "Jump" and "masse" shots are proudly prohibited to protect the felt.

3.2 Table Tennis Etiquette ๐Ÿ“

  • Safe Play Zone: Enjoy your rallies! Please maintain a clear space of 2 metres behind the table and 1 metre on the sides to prevent backing into walls.

  • Setup Help: Full-sized tables are heavy. Please ensure two people handle folding or unfolding, and check that safety latches are clicked into place.

  • Safety First: Wear athletic shoes with good grip (no sliding in socks or sandals). Keep the floor clear of loose balls to prevent twisted ankles. If a ball rolls in from another game, simply pause and call a "let."

3.3 Dartboard Safety ๐ŸŽฏ

  • The Clear Lane: Safety first! Never walk toward the board until the thrower has completely finished their three-dart turn.

  • Watch the Bounce: Please ensure dart tips remain sharp and intact. Dull tips are prone to bouncing off the board unexpectedly. Always throw within the protective backboard zone and keep spectators well clear of the side lanes.

  • Friendly Focus: Please keep a quiet, supportive environment while a player is aiming.โ€‹

๐Ÿค SECTION 4: GOOD NEIGHBOURS & POOL SAFETY

4.1 Keeping the Peace ๐Ÿคซ

  • Tranquility First: Jakkelsroep is a place to unwind. We ask that all guests keep music and noise at a respectful level. Firecrackers and rowdy behavior are strictly prohibited.

  • Community Respect: Kindly treat all fellow travelers and staff with warmth and respect. If an issue arises, please contact Management immediately so we can handle it professionally. Management reserves the right to ask guests who disrupt the peace of the property to vacate without a refund.

4.2 Day Visitors & Occupancy ๐Ÿš—

  • Fair Occupancy: To avoid overcrowding, units are limited to the specific number of guests booked. Subletting or splitting bookings is not permitted.

  • Welcoming Day Guests: Day visitors are absolutely welcome by prior arrangement with the owner! To help us manage property resources, a fee of R100.00 per person (max 2 guests) and R50.00 per extra vehicle applies, payable in advance.

4.3 Pet-Friendly Stays (Unit 1 & Unit 2 Only) ๐Ÿพ

  • We love four-legged family members! Please arrange pet stays with us prior to arrival. We welcome up to two small-to-medium well-behaved pets.

  • Pet Care: For the safety of local wildlife and other guests, pets must be kept on a leash while outdoors. Cat owners must bring along a litter box.

  • Pet Refresh Fee: A R200.00 pet cleaning fee applies and will be deducted from your deposit upon departure to ensure the room is completely allergen-free for the next arrival.

4.4 Dress Code & Decorum ๐Ÿ‘•
To maintain a comfortable environment for families and all cultures, guests are expected to be fully and appropriately clothed in all public outdoor areas.

  • Swim at Your Own Risk: There is no lifeguard on duty. Parents and guardians, please actively supervise your children at the water's edge at all times.

  • Pool Safety: Please use proper swimwear and keep pool noise at a relaxing volume. For everyone's safety, glass bottles and drinking glasses are strictly banned in or around the water. No running, diving, or jumping is permitted, and vehicle parking is restricted to designated bays only.โ€‹

4.6 Bushveld Braai & Fire Pit Safety ๐Ÿ”ฅ

  • To protect our beautiful surroundings and ensure a safe experience around the fire, please follow these guidelines:

  • Designated Areas Only: Open fires and braais are strictly limited to the provided boma fire pits and built-in braais. Please do not make fires anywhere else on the property.

  • Never Unattended: A fire should never be left alone. The last person to bed must ensure the fire is completely extinguished with water or sand, especially on windy bushveld nights.

  • Spark Prevention: Please do not overload the fire pit with excessive wood. Flying sparks can easily ignite the surrounding dry bushveld or thatch roofs.

  • Kids & Pets: Keep a close eye on children and pets around open flames and hot grids.

  • Ash Disposal: Please do not empty hot ash onto the grass or into the bush. Leave it in the braai/pit for our cleaning team to clear safely

  • โ€‹
